Choosing an LNB
Choosing the right Lnb (Low Noise Block)
An LNB sits on the end of an arm and faces the satellite dish, and converts the signals to a lower frequency and sends them out to the cable connector, which you connect to your satellite receiver via coaxial cable.
With the many types of Lnb’s in the market, we look to simplify each, ensuring that you are able to choose the correct one for you ideal system:
Single Lnb
For a simple satellite connection, where there is one receiver connected as part of the system, which is not a twin tuner PVR.
Twin LnB
If you would like to view two single tuner receivers or use one twin tuner receiver, then you will require a twin Lnb.
Quad Lnb
If you would like to view up to 4 single tuner receivers, or use two twin tuner receivers, then you will require this Quad Lnb.
Octo Lnb
If you would like to view up to 8 single tuner receivers, or use up to four twin tuner receivers, then you will require this octo Lnb.
With all these Lnb’s the amount of ports used will not limit your performance or vice versa.
Although most satellite dishes will work on these universal Lnb's, sky dishes (Made by Raven) only work on there own specific Lnb's.
These work under the same principle, but have a slightly different bracket; these can be found on the following Link: |
